There is not a train station directly in Ravello. We suggest either taking a private transfer from the Rome or Naples Airport. If you land in Rome you can also take the speed train from Roma Termini to Napoli Centrale (Frecciarosa train tickets can be purchased on trenitalia.it) If need assistance with a private transfer please reach out to our planner at lisa@elegantetravel.com . There is a also the SITA Bus from Rome to Ravello.

If you find a ticket at any point close to $1000 round trip it is a good deal, and you should get it. Anything under $1200 is reasonable from a major city considering it is high season. Outside of finding something in that range we suggest booking 5-7 months in advance.

If you are needing to get a passport or renew your current one we recommend doing so as soon as possible. Current wait times are about 12 -15 weeks for regular procurement. If you want to pay the extra fee for an expedited passport the wait time is currently 9-10 weeks. Your passport cannot expire within 6 months of your current passport expiring from the date you would leaving FROM Europe back to the US. This is VERY important as you will be denied entrance if your return flight is within 6 months of your passport expiration.

It will likely be quite warm during the day and then cool off a bit in the evening on the Amalfi Coast. It likely be in the mid to high 70s during the day. We suggest making sure to have a wrap if you are wearing a dress for the evening in case it cools down significantly. There tends to be a wind off the coast.

We will not be providing transportation, as all hotels in Ravello are a 5- 15-minute walk from both Villa Eva & Giuliana’s View! Please note that, although it is a short walk to the venues, the streets of Ravello are cobblestone, and there are stairs along the way.

For the welcome party, dress code is Cocktail Attire. For men this means a collared shirt and lightweight sport coat or blazer, no tie. For women, this means a polished dress or separates with heels.
For the wedding, dress code is Black Tie Optional. Men, dark suit or tux is preferred. No linen suits. Women, opt for floor length dresses or formal cocktail dresses - feel free to embrace bold colors & elegant details. No blush/light pink and no short dresses.
Note: The walk to the venue will be on uneven ground. We highly recommend that you walk to the venue in comfortable shoes and change into your heels when you arrive. We will have the entire villa, and a “shoe check” inside when you arrive.
Please see our “Wedding Attire” page for inspiration.
